River Rock Posted by F. Chelli on June 12th, 2004 04:01 PM In reply to Ralph Lauen River Rock Paint by Rich on May 24th, 2004 12:07 AM [Go to top of thread]
Applying the River Rock Technique is near impossible. After much patience and over one hundred plus dollars to cover one wall, we ended up with the place looking like a river was running through it every so many inches. By the way, the directions on the can are inconsistent with the video; the can states work an 18 inch square in columns and the video states work 28 inches. The result was awful. The hotline said we didn't use enough paint, when we said we used a whole gallon on one small wall, they proceeded to tell us we didn't do it right. I gues they are correct, however, we followed their directions to the letter. Shame on them. They did offer a solution, readily, though, it was to purchase another gallon of their paint in a similiar color which we did. That paint went on very well, but in the end, it's not what we spent our hard earned money. $165.00 for one small 7X20 with our own labor was simply too much!! Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
