green moss & mold on wood roof

My neighbor has a wood shingle roof and lives in a very shaded lot. Ove the years I've noticed a significant amount of green Moss / Mold growing on the shingles. It actually looks very "rustic" and adds a lot of character to the house.

Is this something to be concerned with?
