blinking lights on an electrical component usually means that the humidity in the room is too high and the unit has a built-in safety feature to prevent damage. try heating the inside of the unit with a blow dryer to dry it out and see if it'll work. the humidity sensor may have failed in the high position and need replacement too. may also be the room it is located in is too humid.
