I was in looking at engineered wood flooring and went to several flooring centers. Everyone sales person at each one raved about the laminate flooring and how tough and scratch resistant it was. So sucker me, I bought about 1000 square feet of it and installed it myself. Looks beautiful but is definitely "NOT" scratch resistant. You will scratch it and it the scratch is deep, there is repair putty but if the scratch is very superficial where you can see it it the light hits it just right...well you can't fix it (that I know of, haven't found any way yet). If I could turn back the hands of the clock, I would have gone with what I originally wanted..wood. Oh, and BTW, don't listen to those flooring salespeople, they will tell you anything!
