unless you have a magic way of bgetting tyhe tile under the base of the toilet, it needs to be pulled. immediately after pulling, place a rag in the opening to keep anything from falling into the hole, remove rag prior to reinstallation. just remember to use new wax seal when reinstalling the toilet.
