In reply to Staining Pine Cabinet Doors To Match Heart Pine by Susan Wester on October 14th, 2002 02:31 PM [Go to top of thread]

Dear wood working Proffessionals:
This is information to a problem that has recently been addressed with our product SandPaper SaverŪ
www.silvienterprises.com
856-232-2106
The scenario we have found especially in the summer months is that wood expands and creates more sap. Even old wood like 150 year old Heart Pine?
The new woods coming from the mill that is for trim is unable to be stained due to the blotching of the sap from the mills, routers planes and sanders.
Naturally if you can sand the wood then you could stain it but it sometimes is not easy to see until after the wood is stained. Once the wood has been burnished in this way it is very difficult to stain even with the penetrating products to make it more even once you stain it.
Our product reduces the dust and sap from burnishing as it is sanded as it will also do at the Lumber mills if used as a pretreatment before routers planing and sanding.
Saving time money and quality that can be used for a more profitable product produced.
We would appreciate your feed back as well in these matters of wood working and can this product be right for you?
Sincerely Joseph De Silvis
