I had refinished the floors 4 yrs ago and got the stains down to a miminum. After water damage in the basement this spring and summer, they are now black again and seemed to have spread.

I was told to sand and use amonina, lightened it a little. Then I read here about the peroxide, both kinds, used each, sanded, used, sanded, it lightened it fairly well, but in 2 days, still unstained, it is back to black again. I don't think you can ever get it up! And I am wondering if it runs to black mold after so many years under the padding and rug!!?? j-
