Dear Jay, I am concerned about asbestos siding that is on my house, the previous owner had painted over it and the paint is peeling off, so I have the option of either repainting (involves scraping the siding to remove the old paint) which I have found is very dusty work. Or going the cost of putting up vinyl siding on the house. Which do you think would be best? Also what are the laws concerning Asbestos siding? Concerned for my kids... P.S. Someone recently told me that they heard the goverment has some plan to help in the removel of Asbestos siding on private homes, do you know if this is true?
