Framers rarely to blame

Framers are rarely to blame with drywall cracking.

Drywalls hangers are to blame by placing drywall seams at, above or near doors and windows which receive the "stress" of regular opening and shutting on an ongoing basis.

Repairing these drywall hanging deficiencies is difficult since whatever method is employed, it is still subject to the stress of routinely opening and closing these doors and windows.

The 'best' method to treat chronic drywall crack is to caulk them with siliconized latex caulks which will expand and contract with stress.

Short of that you can tape and seal bad drywall joints with fibermesh tapes and siliconized flexible compounds.

Framing is rarely if ever to blame.
