A slight correction to BobF and sir william. What is normally used around the trim work is silicone, not caulk. Have taken a lot of these off and know that p. thinner does not affect sil-icone. Yes, cut the silicone with a utility knife. Be carefull prying off trim. Cut the remaing silicone off with a razor blade. Whatever your using,remember, all these tools will scratch the finish on the tub. once you get most of the silicone off, then start cleaning the area with p. thinner as you go.
