Black mold in Maytag front loader washers

We have just discovered the black mold problem and have not contacted a repairman or Maytag. We have been unable to clean the mold off. In searching for an answer I came upon this site. Any help would be appreciated. Ron and Elaine Ahles, 1929 Red Oak Dr., Mansfield, OH.
