For our 1 month anniversary, I want to suprise my husband by putting up a sling chair in our bedroom. It came with an eye hook, which attaches to a big spring, which hold up the webbing. 2 questions: Do I need to reinforce the ceiling by sistering another 2x4 to the target rafter in the attic (he weighs about 325), and maybe add some support from the rafter to the riser? - and - The eye hook is one of the wood screw looing kind, would it be better to get the nut & bolt kind and drill a pilot hole?
