That stuff with the metal in it doesn't repair well. You try to nail it and it tries to pouch out somewhere else. Cut and Pull it off. Cut a new piece of you tape to the correct size for the corner. Wet it with a sponge so it won't dry too quick. If you really want it to stick take a handfull of mud, (have a pail and towel close by to clean your hand), and apply a good bit of mud to the tape itself. Then stick it to the wall. Pull a corner knife down it, take a flat knife to clean off the excess mud, and wa la, perfect straight corner. Then take a damp sponge and clean it up. When you go to finish the corner only do ONE side at a time, and let it dry before doing the other side of the corner.

Coming from an amateur that drywalled and muddied his own house and finally figured out how to make that stuff work.
