The melted freshener could not have stripped urethane finish, so you have either varnish or a wax finish on the floor. If it is wax, just get some Bruce Lite n Natural for light floors or Dark n Rich for darker floors. This product has solvent cleaner and wax. Rub lightly with a Scrub Pad dampened with either Dark n Rich or Lite n Natural. Then buff with a clean cloth. This will restore both color and sheen to the stripped floor. From your description, this is the solution I recommend. These products can be found online, or at any Ace or TruValue Hardware.

If the floor is varnished you will need to find a stain that matches the floor (minwax or zar). Do not get the one-step product with urethane, get a stain that is applied and wiped off. Finsih with some varnish in the gloss that most closely matches the floor.
