Roadbase weighs about 2 tons/yard with normal moisture content. Weight can vary plus or minus 25% depending on moisture.

When you have the material delivered, ask the driver to spread it. There is no extra charge. It is done by chaining the tailgate on the dump truck to restrict the gate to a 4 to 6 inch opening. The driver pulls forward as the material starts to flow out of the truck bed leaving a fairly level surface. You may need to do a little bit of moving around, but its a lot easier than dealing with a pile.
