I have a seven foot door and need an eight foot door. How much bracing is needed during the change over? The garage is 30' by 36' with a ten foot ceiling, my plan is to put one brace on both ends of the 16' wide opening under the trusses. Then cut out the old header and raise it up to eight foot opening. Obviously when I built the garage 10 years ago I should have planned ahead and put in a bigger door then. Advise to anyone building a garage.....
