Patch Bucket ... Posted by Jay J -Moderator on July 8th, 2004 10:15 AM In reply to Driveway Patch by Carl on July 8th, 2004 08:17 AM [Go to top of thread]
Hi Carl,
Go to Home Depot or Lowe's or any home center and buy the patch in a bucket. Some stock both buckets and/or 'bags'. Just read the Directions on the container BEFORE you leave the store to be sure you buy the right stuff. Also, you may need a trowel and/or a tamper. The Directions should give you an indication of what you'll need.
The KEY to any patch job is that you do the proper PREP work. Clean the 'hole', remove ALL loose material, and let it dry. A power wash is best (but a hose-cleaning would suffice). I don't think the Patch requires a primer but, again, the Directions will tell ya.
My best to ya and hope this helps.

PS: Consider SEALING the patch after the specified 'setting' time. If you don't know when you can seal the patch, ctc the MFGR of the patch. I suggest you buy the Sealer from the SAME MFGR as the patch ... Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
