From re-reading your post, i believe that you did not use a good sealer. Water based is fine in a dry climate but you need to use oil based to keep moisture out in a wet, humid climate. Try cleaning again with the behr 62 cleaner and this time seal with the behr oil based sealer. Apply a coat each day until it will not absorb any more. The deck will be a little tacky for a few days but will dry to a very hard water repelant surface. You will know you have a good seal when the water will bead on the deck like it does on a freshly waxed car It will cost more initially to apply multiple coats, but you will save in the long run as you will not have to reseal every year or 2 like with water based.
