I have an isolated case of mold in my finished basement office. The condensate in my AC unit got plugged up while we were on vacation. Water wicked from the unfinished part of my basement to the finished part and under my berber carpet. I noticed a funky smell and found mold growing in an area of about 10 square feet or less. I dried it out and cleaned all the moldy hard surfaces with chlorine bleach and water solution. What should I do about my carpet? Normally, my basement is bone dry...

I really don't want to cut and replace, but am willing if absolutely necessary. Has anyone ever heard of a U/V light solution? I am wondering what to do next. Please send me an email at esanders1965@hotmail.com
