Decomposed granite in Maine

Marlene, I live inland a ways from you and am looking for the same information. We do have a pretty good driveway made by a local contractor using "marly" soil. It compacts well and resists runoff erosion. It's essentially dust free, but it is not grit free and in the early thaw it softens, making snowblowing a bit difficult because the skids on the blower sink into it. I'd like to stabilize it with DG, but may have to simply resort to an application of a good stabilizer. Soiltac has an impressive record.
