Oak Furniture

Posted by Dennis on July 12th, 2004 09:13 AM

I just purchased some unfinished oak furniture. This furniture is for use in a kitchen and will be regularly exposed to cooking smells etc. I am a bit unsure of exactly what type of finish to lay down over the stain. I am in the process of sanding the pieces and have purchased Minwax stain. I figure that polyurethane is the finish of choice but wanted to see if anyone else has a better idea. I have some polyurethane left over from where I refinished a floor (maybe 6 months old). Any reason not to use that?
