Your dryer must be near an outside wall if you are considering venting through a window. Your BEST solition is to just cut a 4-1/4 inch diameter hole at a convenient location near the dryer and install a vent outlet with damper. Costs about $7. Sure beats looking for a special window or losing the ability to open the window. If you are dealing with a basement with block walls, you should be able to cut through the rim joist or end block (the vertical blocking between joists) and put your vent there.
