I was looking for a better solution also. I have found though, that as soon as I stopped using the rubber backed rugs and cleaned my white linoleum floor with bleach and water every week for the past 2 years, it has faded the yellow stains CONSIDERABLY. I still have some trouble spots including the area where we stand at the counter preparing foods and happen to be wearing tennis shoes (more rubber!!) I was visiting this site to fine an easier way to remove these horrific stains, as our house is up for sale.
