I'd like to install a home heating/air conditioning system. I have a quote for an installation of a 5-TON air conditioning unit as well as a heater on the roof of my house. Structurally, is there anything that I should be aware of? My house is approximately 1900sq. ft.. Is a 5-TON A/C enough? Will the heater run efficiently under those circumstances, i.e. being outside on the roof? Are there any permits required? Concrete footings? Plumbing? Fire Sprinklers? In short did I overlook something? I have never had to install something like this? I need some advice. Thank you in advance.
