what condition are the floors in?

Teri,
There are many ways to remove the paint. Chemicals, heat, and physical sanding are the three more popular options.
Is the rest of your floor in good enough condition that you don't need to do anything to them, or do you plan on refinishing the entire floor?
Also, do you know how the existing flooring is sealed? the type of treatment can vary depending on the finish on the existing floors.
