Another possibility is related to the anti-knock device in your house. This device is usually a vertical capped off pipe in your supply line that contains air which acts as a cushion to prevent water hammering in the pipes. Sometimes refreshing the air supply in the anti-knock pipe will eliminate the problem you are having. To do this you would have to shut off the water supply and then drain the system to allow air back into this pipe.
