Thank all of you guys for discussing our issue. I guess time will tell whether the entire truss issue will be a small or large problem. I do not think we are up for finding out.
As HarryC posted, what else will we discover after our warranty runs out if we are already seeing the results of construction defects this significant. As to the comment of "throwing the baby out with the bath water", we don't mean to come across so extreme. Our builder doesn't have the greatest reputation in our area, a risk we were willing to take and now regret. We simply don't want the burden of any more liability on our shoulders to disclose any more things that should creep up down the road.
My wife would like to thank HarryC for his concern in the last post and for his great way of pointing things out from our perspective.
