problem with oven

is it possible to fix the electrical wiring in a stove if the end of the electrode comes off? when installing our new heating element i forgot to unplug my stove and when i attached the element i nearly got electrocuted! i was wondering if there was a way to fix the wire. only my left red wire is damaged. thanks for the help.
