I moved into a house with existing ceiling fans. Each room only has one switch on the wall that controls the fan. I want to install light kits to each fan. I connected the white to white and the black on the light kit to the blue on the fan. the fans turn, but I get no light. I've pulled the chain on the kits, but still no lights go on. Does the fan have to be wired in the ceiling to accept a light kit?
