Darlene.........Put the wallpaper liner over the old paper. Don't waste your time taking the old stuff off. Put it on according to the directions horizontally. DO Not stretch it. Just lay it on nicely and smooth it out. After it dries for a few days, put the new wallpaper on vertically. That way, you will never see the edges from the liner. It works perfectly.
