I had a back hoe come in and take out two dump trucks of bamboo and surrounding soil. So far I have only two stalks that have reappeared 1 year later, a far cry from the 50 feet by 70 patch. I agree the only true way to rid yourself is to get rid of the rhizomes by digging.
