My ceiling fan would'nt shut off but all the other speeds worked. I bought another 4 wire switch, caps 1.75 uf and 3.75 uf one wire each to neutral and one wire each to #1 and #2 16ga. black to #3 and small 22ga. wire to L. All i get is a hum on one of the settings, the fan is 6 yrs. old. I installed the old switch and the same thing happens, did i blow the motor or the caps? Thanks, Robert R.
