put in 2 tbsp of automatic dishwasher soap (NOT liquid soap like palmolive or Dawn, but liquid or powder soap specifically for an automatic dishwasher). Use warm water and run the system for 15 minutes. Repeat cycle without soap for another 15 minutes. Then use bleach 2nd go around, then rinse again with just water through the system. Do this about every 30 days. IF you use the wrong soap (such as what you'd use to hand wash dishes) you'll end up with a house full of soap suds. Good luck!
