Has anyone tried power rollers with Ralph Lauren River Rock?

It seems the problems with River Rock have to do with it drying too quickly. Has anyone tried using a Wagner power roller type product for this or is the "special" roller truly critical to the success of the project?
I have a power roller and love it - it speeds the job up a lot.
Also, has anyone tried adding glaze to the river rock to add to the dry time? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
