I have this small light fixture that is designed to be wired directly into the ceiling. I really want to put this light to use, and I found this nifty little "swag kit" at the Home Depot, and thought it would be easy enough to install. In comes the problem... the light has three wires, 1-white, 1-black, and 1-ground. These are all copper wires wrapped in some type of fabric covering. The kit only has to wires, neither of with are labeled "white" or "black". How do I tell which is which? I found a post regarding ceiling fans and swag kits that suggested the black should be connected to the wires coming off the "small" blade of the plug and the white to the "large" blade but, what do I do with this ground wire? The poster further suggested it be wrapped around the chain. This sounds kind of dangerous. Is it? Could I just put a plastic cap over the ground wire and weave it through the chain along with the other two wires? Please help me... I really want to get this fancy light hung up. TIA!! Susan
