Husband is hard at work demolishing our kitchen! It appears that there is wiring up in the ceiling above the tin. But it is old knob & tube that we will have to update. So, at least it appears that we have a path to follow with new wiring if we can find it! LOL...and there is a hole in the tin. We will just have to make that hole work for our new fixtures somehow...

We are going down to studs on the exterior walls to reinsulate, move a window etc. They are plaster walls and lattice strips that we will have to take down. Hopefully, the wiring is on those walls and we can locate a path through the studs on wall and ceiling joists!
