I called Hampton Bay at 1-877-527-0313 and found out that these transformers were made by Regal King. The phone number for Regal King is 858-793-1590. They say that the transformers are sensitive to surges and spikes because they are electronic transformers, not megnetic. They also stated that Home Depot will replace them in late August because they have a 3 year warranty. The new ones are new designs.
