I would encourage anyone looking at gutter protection systems to look at Elko GuttaGard products. For $1/ft. you can easily install them yourself, or if you pay an installer it'll run about $2.50-3.00/ft.
I found mine at a Do-It Best center, but they're also sold at Brookstone catalog, Improvement catalog, and www.guttersdirect.com.
None of these systems work perfectly, so my attitude was why pay more? The GuttaGard product is invisible from the street, simple to put on (no screws, drills, or holes in the roof), and easy to take off if and when the gutter downspouts ever become clogged and need cleaning.
