Hello all,

I want to replace a PVC p-trap with a chrome brass one. I am struggling with exactly how to accomplish this. My major concern is that I want the chrome to run all the way back to the wall. The PVC waste line runs vertically behind the wall and taps out into the room via a whye adapter, of which the female end is slightly outside of the wall. It seems to me that the simplest way to do this would be to mate a chrome elbow to the PVC pipe coming out of the wall and slip a chrome cover and escutcheon over the PVC to give the appearance of chrome all the way to the wall. I have seen this done (http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/knowhow/bath/article/0,16417,221693-4,00.html#), however I have not been able to locate any parts to accomplish this. The elbow used in the previous link appeared to be manfuctured specifically for mating with a PVC pipe (a straight pipe manufactured for this purpose would work as well). I would appreciate it if anyone could provide a resource for obtaining the required parts. Please let me know if there is a better way to do this that I am missing.

Thank you
