I have killed mold and mildew on painted surfaces by using 1 cup bleach to 1 gallon of water applied with garden sprayer. thourghly soak the area by spraying 2-3 times about 3 minutes between sprayings, let set 15 miutes and hose off with garden hose. worked great for me and it looked like freshly painted surface.
