Wick, Ronald,
It appears that Husky log siding is the closest thing available to a low maintenance log siding. I have looked into it before. It is a foam filled half log with a wood vernier to the outside. It still has to be stained/sealed but not as often (they say) as real wood. (Not as much checking, etc.) I would still like to get the look with Zero maintenance, but no luck for now.
