Replace stove top?

I am remodeling a TINY kitchen. I have a mediocre 20" gas stove that is in good working order. Rather than replace it with another mediocre but new 20" stove (I have not seen any nice ones that size), I would like to replace the (very standard looking)top with either stainless or black. I would also replace the front if possible. I am afriad to paint it due to the wear that a stovetop takes. Does anhyone know how/where I could do that? I am in the Cambridge, MA area.
