wood floor cupping

Posted by mayadesigns on August 29th, 2004 02:24 PM

I had prefinished wood floors put in several months back. They were installed glue down on the concrete sub-floor. I noticed gaps in between the planks, some over 1/8", the installer said he would fill them but I told him I did not think it would look good. Now I notice alot of the boards are popping and have a hollow sound to them. He said he would replace those boards and I think he should redo the entire floor because I don't it was installed correctly in the first place. Any opinions would be helpful.
