I got the impression from my sales center and Maytag that I was the only one with these problems. I stumbled across this site and realized they just don't want to own up to their problems!! I will not be a victim of this company again. I keep putting money into a sinking ship. I hate this product, the smell is horrible. And to the 'trained tech' I have read every thing about this machine. I have ran the bleach once a week, you have sent me the sunlight packets, I have cleaned out the drum, hoses, and boot. I use the recommended amount of soap (Tide HE) And I always use extra rinse cycle. I use only white towels now so that I can bleach them, because I can't get the musty smell out of my towels. I have done laundry loads and them I smell them and I redo every bit of the laundry again. I am the mother of 2 very small children and a husband that works 75+ hours a week. I do not have time to be redoing my laundry. On the other hand I will not dress my children in clothes that smell like I ran a marathon in them a week ago then placed them in a plastic bag the simmer. I can't believe that I was talked into these for my brand new home. I am tired of the service calls . I am tired of putting money in these over priced machines. If you are researching these, keep looking. I don't know if there are better ones out there, but this is definitely not what you pay for!
