Thanks for your comments. Makes sense. One thing I'm not sure of: when I had my house vinyl-sided a few years ago, they put up soffit vent plates. However, I already had soffit vents previous to the new siding (which I'm I'm sure they didn't match up new to old soffit vents), so could there be a problem of not enough air getting the attic? My siding guy said the air should find it's way in and out. Any comments?? Thanks for the other thoughts. Jim
