It could well have blown the circuit board, if it uses one. Ours does. And the warranty states that it does not cover power surges. So I installed a surge suppressor on it. Got a single outlet Belkin for about $10.
I think you will have to call for a service tech to have yours repaired; they are a bit complicated.
