Help! Installing trim and beadboad

Posted by Bigchief on September 6th, 2004 11:08 AM

I am installing wainscoting and trim in my 2nd bathroom. I have made the wainscoting 4 feet high and the trim piece is 4" high. After installing one wall, it looks beautiful, however, i am now on the wall with the light switch. Unfortunately, the trim piece above the beadboard will run smack dab in the middle of the light switch. What do I do to make the trim look good around the switch? The bottom of the light switch will run halfway thru the trim. Should I cut it like this: l____l (with the light switch being above the space?) I need help!
