In reply to Matag Neptune Mold by CBS News on July 15th, 2004 02:41 PM [Go to top of thread]

I have owned a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer for almost 5 years. I have not experience mold but the rubber boot which never drains is nauseating. Last week the drain pump quit working on the machine and which had to be fixed. Last weekend we had a wedding at our home and out of town guests for 4 days. Our washing machine flooded our home and went down into the basement. It would not quit filling with water. What a mess. I saw on the internet where others have experienced the same trouble. I called customer service but to no avail. They were the most patronizing CSR's which truly disgust me. They said they have never heard about the flooding issue - likely story. Maytag could care less if they lost their customers. They certainly do not know how to treat them. And above all... they are not honest. Who wants to do business with an unethical company? We bought a new washer and dryer and it is not Maytag.
