Hi,

I put in a light over our shower, which I wired to the nearby exhaust fan , so the light and the fan would come on together when you turned on the existing switch. Now I would like to put a second box in beside the fan/light switch with a ground fault plug in it to protect the fan and light . Can someone tell me how I would go about doing this, someone told me I have to run another wire from the fan to the switch, but I don't what wire goes on what screw, or how to wire this

This is not the only light in the bathroom, there is one over the vanity in a seperate box(I could gang all three boxes together and make one box)it has a red, black and white wire coming in on one side and a black and white wire coming in on the other side. The white wires are marr connected together and the red and black wires go to the switch for the light. So if I run a wire between the switch and the fan, how do I wire this, what wire goes on what screws.
Thanks for your time
Juan
