wood floors need help

im wanting to refinish wood floors that have had nothing done to them since instullation, about1898, there are no cracks and are in great shape but need to be refinished and maybe stained i like the natuarl color< but has no shine> would like the shine back have eight rooms not to big, i will do one room at a time< house is lived in> would like any information on project, includeing how to steps, and product that have worked.thank you ,vicki in new mexico
